The AAMI Classic tennis event delivers on all fronts when it comes to corporate entertainment.

In what has become a tradition on the summer circuit, 8 of the world’s top players arrive at Kooyong – the spiritual home of Australian tennis – each January, to prepare for the first Grand Slam of the year on the ATP World Tour.

The 8 each play 3 matches over the 4 days (January 12-15, 2011) in a promotion/relegation format, so each match on Kooyong’s famed centre court is world class.

Your company and its most valued clients will relish the boutique nature of this event. The corporate facilities allow you to entertain from 8 people per day, up to 32 over the whole event – the choice is yours.

Rowland Major Events, whose reputation is legendary in sporting circles, will cater to your every whim. You can lunch in the suite itself – where you won’t miss a minute of the tennis action – or, for a more formal experience, take your guests into the lavish marquee adjacent to centre court.

At the end of the day’s play, consider moving to “The Village Green” to enjoy a relaxing drink and live music – or perhaps check out Kooyong’s newly renovated clubhouse environment.

Play begins at 11.00 am on Wednesday (4 matches), Thursday (3 matches) and Friday (3 matches). Saturday takes on a “Grand Final” atmosphere with 2 finals fixtures. You might even catch a glimpse of some past legends of the game making an appearance during the event.

Seven Network televises live approx 12 hours of play and international television distributor, IEC in Sport, ensures the coverage goes worldwide (to 20 markets in 2010).

Spain’s Fernando Verdasco won the 2010 AAMI Classic, edging out Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in two hard-fought sets. Pat Cash then took on Henri Leconte in a light-hearted “trip down memory lane”. Serbian Novak Djokovic and Australian Bernard Tomic met in the first marquee match of the day.

Past event participants read like a “Who’s Who” of tennis – Stefan Edberg, Boris Becker, Michael Chang, Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Pat Rafter, Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Thomas Muster, Goran Ivanisevic – the list goes on… Agassi, Chang and Roddick have all won the Classic 3 times; Federer twice.

Courtside Suites

TLocated around Kooyong’s famous centre court, these 45 facilities, accommodating 8 people per day, offer a “birds-eye” view of play.

The package includes:

• Eight suite passes and six additional grandstand seats per day.
• One on-site car park pass.
• Eight additional car park passes per day.
• Corporate signage (measuring 122cm x 46cm) attached to the front of each suite (cost inclusive).

Stadium Suites

These 54 under-cover suites (also seating 8 people), are situated in the back 3 rows of the grandstand’s lower tier and provide an elevated viewing option.

The package includes:

• Eight suite tickets per day.
• Eight car park passes per day.
• Corporate signage (measuring 122cm x 46cm) attached to the front of the suite (cost inclusive).
• Catering is provided by Rowland Major Events (cost of catering additional – see information under Corporate Catering Options).
• Use of Kooyong clubhouse facilities throughout the event.

Options include:

• Lunch hampers, presented in individual Rowland lunch boxes delivered to your suite. Beverages can be purchased on consumption or as a package.
• A two-course plated lunch served in the silk-lined, air-conditioned corporate marquee adjacent to the stadium.
• Morning and afternoon teas available in the comfort of your suite.
